Nero Kwik Media - Nero Kwik Media offers a single entry point for your digital photo, music, and video collections, but you can to better with more targeted apps for each function.

Crackle (for iPad) - Crackle for iPad brings a wide variety of movies and TV shows to Apple's tablet, but the television programming is a bit lacking.

PhotoRocket (beta) - Photorocket offers slick desktop and iPhone apps that work together with also well-designed Web galleries for easy photo sharing, but it's unlikely to supplant email, Facebook, or richer photo services like Flickr and Picasa.

Cisco Linksys E1550 Wireless-N Router with SpeedBoost - Cisco touts the E1550 as a more robust performer than its entry E-series routers, the E1200. The E1200 is an excellent single-band router and the E1550 offers the same performance but not better, and the range at a far distance was a little poorer than the E1200. The E1550 is also more expensive.

LG Optimus C (Cricket Wireless) - The LG Optimus C is not only a great budget smartphone, it's the best smartphone available on Cricket Wireless, period.

JBL OnBeat - There aren't any masterpieces in the affordable iPad speaker dock category just yet, but the JBL OnBeat is better than the thin competition, despite some irksome flaws.

Notability (for iPad) - Notability is a dream to use if you need a note-taking app that supports Web clipping and the ability to draw and type on top of images. But if you don't need these features, free apps will do the job just as well.

Moleskine (for iPhone) - Loyal fans of the Moleskine brand may enjoy the design of this pretty note-taking app, but serious list-makers and note-takers should turn to one of the alternatives.

Intel Core i5-2500K - Intel's Core i5-2500K Sandy Bridge processor gives you some real might for your money, but few additional thrills.

Gunnar Optiks Phenom 3D - The Gunnar Optiks Phenom 3D glasses look great, feel great, and are well-made, but it's tough to justify a $100 dedicated pair of 3D glasses in a market where there isn't much to watch yet.

Antec Sonata IV - Antec's Sonata IV comes with a hefty power supply, but is otherwise as low-key as midtower PC cases get.

Toshiba Satellite L645-S4102 - The Toshiba Satellite L645-S4102 mainstream laptop is equipped for handling basic tasks at a midrange-budget price.

HP Pavilion dv6-3225dx - Though hardly a trailblazer, the HP Pavilion dv6-3225dx laptop holds its own in terms of looks and capabilities.

Samsung RV511-A01 - The Samsung RV511-A01 budget laptop may not be much to look at, but it offers decent performance and a few interesting features for the price.

Dell Inspiron M501R-1748MRB - The Dell Inspiron M501R-1748MRB is an affordable desktop replacement laptop featuring a Blu-ray drive and a nice display but its performance is sluggish at best.

HP Pavilion dm4-1265dx - The HP Pavilion dm4-1265dx is a well-built, reasonably-priced mainstream laptop offering Core i5 power and lots of wireless features.

Sony VAIO VPC-EA46FM/V - A bold color scheme makes the Sony VAIO VPC-EA46FM/V mainstream laptop stand out in a crowd, but its graphics performance is lackluster.

Sony VAIO VPC-EB47GM/BJ - Added features like WiDi and WiMAX make the Sony VAIO VPC-EB47GM/BJ package an even sweeter deal.

Frontline Registry Cleaner 2.0 - Frontline Registry Cleaner 2.0 does a good job of cleaning up a mucked-up PC registry, but, if you want more in-depth system maintenance, look elsewhere.

Asus K52F-BIN6 - If your pockets are small and needs limited to Web browsing and word processing, then the Asus K52F-BIN6 laptop will happily provide.

Samsung QX410-S02 - The Samsung QX410-S02 mainstream laptop is beautifully made and offers some high-grade features for a reasonable price, but its needs a component upgrade and a better clickpad to play with the big boys.

HP G62-435DX - The HP G62-534DX is a stripped down budget laptop, but with similarly priced systems offering so much more, there's not much to recommend it.

Dell Inspiron IM5030-874B3D - Laptops don't come much more inexpensive than the Dell Inspiron IM5030-874B3D, but many of them come better equipped.

Samsung RC512-S02 - The Samsung RC512-S02 gives you a taste of what it's like to have quad core processing, decent graphics power, and a sample of some of the hottest laptop technologies in a desktop replacement form factor.

Samsung Gem (U.S. Cellular) - The Samsung Gem is a low-rent Android phone that is tough to recommend given what else is available on U.S. Cellular.

Nokia E7 (Unlocked) - The beautifully crafted Nokia E7 sports a new Symbian OS version, but it's hardly distinguishable from the old one.

Motorola Quantico (U.S. Cellular) - The Motorola Quantico has virtually no multimedia features, but it's an excellent phone for voice calls, and it should stand up to heavy abuse.

Cisco Linksys E2500 Advanced Dual-Band Wireless-N Router - With the Cisco Linksys E2500 Advanced Dual-Band Wireless-N Router, users upgrading from last year's E2000 give up an antenna and Gigabit Ethernet but gain simultaneous dual-band connectivity, better ease of use, and better 2.4Ghz-band performance. It's a good router, but better throughput at the 5 GHz would make it better.

Canon Color imageClass MF9280cdn - The Canon Color imageClass MF9280Cdn provides a good feature set as a color laser MFP for a small office or workgroup.

Samsung Galaxy Prevail (Boost Mobile) - Make way LG Optimus, Boost Mobile's Samsung Galaxy Prevail is the latest budget Android device on the market, and it's a keeper.
