Anne Hathaway Knows How To Wear Eyeglasses Right and Hair Tips Too - Anne Hathaway Knows How To Wear Eyeglasses Right and Hair Tips Too

It constantly amazes me how some women never bother to update their eyeglasses. It's one one of the easiest style fixes you can do to take years off your apearance to look modern and up-to-date.

Case in point: Anne Hathaway sporting super chic eyeglasses on the red carpet, or in this case, blue carpet!

Forget about those dated sliver glasses, or dowdy "frameless" eyeglasses, or even super geek four-eye frames... none do anything for your style!

But what does do something positive for your personal style are a pair of contemporary shaped frames that flatter your face. What is modern are glasses that are slightly on the large side so there is no mistaking that you are wearing them.

Those frameless or wire rim glasses do nothing to obscure the fact that you are wearing glasses and just make you look dated and dowdy. Don't hide your glasses, be proud that you look so darn hot in them!

As eyeglasses are part of your overall look, keep the rest of your beauty in harmony. Notice that Anne's makeup is natural, but eyes are emphasized with dark liner so they pop behind her tortoise frames.

Her hair is pushed back in a purposely undone, not to interfere with her eyeglasses and still look pretty and modern.

We've got the 411 on how to get Anne Hathaway's hairstyle...

Hair stylist Adir Abergel of Frederic Fekkai created a sexy, piecey ponytail as a modern spin on a classic 1960's hairstyle. The look compliments Anne's Gucci sheath that references the same era.

The Real Housewives of New York City- Season 4, Episode 1 Review - The Real Housewives of New York City- Season 4, Episode 1 Review

Well, it seems the girls haven't changed much since that last time we saw them!

Ramona Singer was so rude and downright mean when interviewing people for an assistant's position. Of course, I would not expect anything less from her. The only thing that's changed with Ramona is that she finally got someone to do her makeup, but that hair.... come on, Ramona this is not an episode of Ally McBeal.

Next up, Jill and Kelly hanging out on Jill's bed that I designed! It seems Bethany issues still hit a deep nerve in Jill. Now, I do know from an insider's point that the sword cut both ways. They both landed on their feet, so move on ladies and stop using it for ratings! Sonja Morgan is so not interesting to me. Do we really want to see Sonja panting like a Bit*h in heat over her date? In my opinion, it appears that he doesn't want you, he wants the limelight.

The omnipresent Luanne at Orsay and her sexy man Jacques truly have a connection that you can feel two tables away! Luanne, why I ask would you choose for your big reconnect with the audience in Season 4 to have dinner with a classless act in a dress that can't speak French in a French restaurant really?!

Kate Middleton on a visit to Northern Ireland.

I get asked so many times about what to wear to work to still look professional, yet not rigid or boring.

So many readers get caught up in the glamour of red carpet fashion or the fashion trend of the nano second, but when it comes to looking professional at work, get stymied.

For me, looking professional and chic always involves a bit of timeless elegance... the kind of style that looks great in photos that are a few years old, or from just last week.

KATE MIDDLETON embodies that kind of fresh, timeless chic that is always appropriate, yet still full of verve and modern style.

Destined to be even more memorable than the wedding of The Prince and Princess of Wales in 1981

Destined to be even more memorable than the wedding of The Prince and Princess of Wales in 1981

I cannot think of anyone else at the moment that embodies the perfect office chic and professional fashion style than the Princess-to-be.

As the royal wedding is less than a month away-- and in fear that once properly ensconced in the pomp and circumstance of being a royal-- Kate may suddenly go from fresh to more contrived and frumpy with a few too many doodaddy hats and Camilla-like dowdiness. Therefore, it's the perfect time to spotlight Kate Middleton's style from the past few years.

Her style is so simple and easy, that as a stylist you wonder how so many women just miss the the boat and veer on the side of stodgy or sleazy when wearing more classic, professional clothes.

The look of classic clothes may appear to be straightforward, but it's all in the cut of the suiting that makes them interesting! And, in Kate's case, both also timeless and ageless.

And, when it comes to cut and understanding her body shape, she is a master! Let's take a look at Kate Middleton's fashion style...

You all must know that I cannot possibly imagine living in a home without the benefit of having something beautiful to look at and inspire by way of its furniture. For me, in particular, the chair can take so many artistic and creative forms that I wish I could collect as many as my other obsession- shoes and boots!

I've almost run out of any possible space to add another "interesting" chair in our loft, so I've come to admire from afar, particularly ones that have a different design aesthetic from my home. Richard Nahem, who has a pretty fab pad in Paris, came across this incredible melding of design and fashion with classic high-end furniture reproductions on one of his Parisian walking tours.

Both Richard and I love La Fumeuse, pictured left, and we don't even smoke! It's a hot pink velvet "smoking chair," complete with with cigarette box by fashion designer Chantal Thomass. The chair is made of black varnished beechwood and nickel plated nails and fabric by Pierre Frey. Here's what more of what he found --S.H.
