Qatari bank to provide homes instead of loans -
Qatar: The Qatar Development Bank is considering providing completed houses instead of house loans, the Peninsula has reported. ''We are looking into constructing houses at an estimated cost of QR1.2m and then hand it over to the beneficiaries instead of giving monetary support,' the bank said. The government and QDB separately provide a loan of QR600,000 for each applicant amounting to a total of QR1.2m, which many complain do not meet their needs. [AMEInfo.com]
